Peace Wilkinson has been interested in art for as long as she can remember. She received her first art training in school when she was a child in her native country of Taiwan. Coming from a family of artists and musicians, she was encouraged in her pursuit of the arts, and early on she turned her focus to watercolor painting. Later, having reached a high level of expertise in that medium, she turned her attention to oils. For the last twenty years or so she has painted in oils almost exclusively. Her subjects include portraits, still lifes, and landscapes. She loves painting landscapes en plein air, then turning some of her plein air sketches into larger, finished paintings in the studio.
Peace has studied locally under Jack Rogers and Stan Miller. She has been a valued member of River Ridge Association of Fine Arts in Spokane since 2002.
