I have always enjoyed arts and crafts and spent many years doing decorations for events of organizations I belonged to. When my children were older and I had some time I took classes in oil painting, barns being one of my favorite things to paint. I also took classes in pottery and stained glass and have many treasured pieces that I made in those years. My daughter, who lives with me, is an artist and watching her encouraged me to get back into painting. After my husband passed away almost 3 years ago, I started taking classes in watercolor, a medium I have always wanted to learn about. I love painting and look forward to doing it as often as I can.
I love belonging to RiverRidge and have made many friends there. One of my friends and I went with Mary Lenear to Hawaii last year to paint watercolors. It was one of the best experiences of my life. I look forward to continuing to paint and learn as much as I can.
